About Merchandising at Sephora: 

Our merchandising team is constantly building brands, starting trends, and developing entirely new product categories. And our merchants don’t stop at selection—they bring the assortment to life through breakthrough curation and storytelling across our stores and digital properties. 


Your role at Sephora: 
As an Assistant Merchant, Skincare you will report into the Merchant and:   

  • Manage brand assortments for up to 400 stores, including visual merchandising and timelines 

  • Communicate consistently with internal and external stakeholders to ensure deadlines are met 

  • Assist in creation and execution of brand/ product strategies and product pipeline 

  • Prepare reports and assist in analyzing the business 

  • Partner with cross functional partners to execute on robust 360* launch strategies 

  • Stay on top of trends, new products and brands 

  • Demonstrate our Sephora values of Passion for Client Service, Innovation, Expertise, Balance, Respect for All, Teamwork, and Initiative 


We’re excited about you if you have:  

  • 2-3 years retail buying experience at a major retailer 

  • Impeccable verbal and written communication skills with comfort presenting to large groups 

  • Excellent technical skills – MS Office (advanced Excel, Word, PowerPoint); merchant systems 

  • Passion for retail, product, and trends 

  • A strong numbers-aptitude and analytical skills with a drive for results 

  • A demonstrated ability to negotiate and exert influence 

  • An ability to prioritize and manage time effectively in a fast pace, complex environment 

  • A positive and collaborative attitude
