As a Warehouse Distribution Lead you will handle the receiving and shipping processes and activities of our multiple warehouses in the Appleton area.

Pay starts at $22/hour and will progress through a step compensation program up to $24.50/hr with satisfactory performance and attendance.

Primary Function

Work with Production to fulfill material requirements to improve overall productivity. Ensure incoming product is received correctly. Organize and stock warehouse. Create process to maintain FIFO System. Communicate warehouse storage needs. Plan and execute material movements between Main and secondary storage warehouse. Ensure outgoing product is organized, labeled, and loaded into trucks according to internal processes. Work with Purchasing Department with any returns to Vendors. Keep pallet supply. Responsible for Material Handlers and related activities.

Responsibilities

SPECIFIC DUTIES/ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Execute warehouse movements between Main and Secondary Warehouse. Organize secondary warehouse and keep accurate inventory movements in SAP.
  • Maintain stock of Pallets
  • Work with Purchasing Department to return any products to our vendors.
  • Replenish storage racks and shelves.
  • Responsible for maintaining organized, identified racks, and staging areas.
  • Responsible for communication with leaders of potential parts shortages, or overages for manufactured items.
  • Assist with removal of dunnage such as cardboard, pallets and trash.
  • Operate industrial truck or electric hoist to assist in moving materials and products.
  • Attach identifying tags or labels to materials or mark information on racks as needed.
  • Recharge batteries or replace liquefied gas tanks.
  • Responsible for overall shop cleanliness and appearance. Responsible for following general safe work practices
  • Unload incoming products. Verify quantities, inspect, and report any damages or issues.
  • Stock warehouse and rotate inventory as needed. Organize product by oldest first.
  • Organize and label out going shipments. Load trucks.
  • Other duties as assigned

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

  • Forklift driving experience.
  • Basic computer knowledge and navigation is helpful. Must have a valid state driver’s license and the aptitude to obtain a company forklift license prior to performing forklift duties.
  • Excellent communication skills via written and oral
  • Promotes a safe and organized work area.
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Minimum of 6 months related work experience
