The divisional Training Manager is designing, developing and managing the training strategy and the resulting internal training framework for the PI division, aligned with business strategies and priorities in the different franchises. In this role the composition of different delivery channels of training to the field forces and Marketing teams is a critical component, so the optimal mix between virtual and face to face trainings as well as the mix between delivery through field training council member, external experts or other internal resources. The Divisional Training Manager is reporting to the PI EMEA Marketing Director.

The divisional Training Manager will manage the regular certification process, required program improvements, ROIs and the constant maintenance and evolvement of required training materials and has a Divisional Training Specialist reporting to this role.



  • Create progressive training pathways that take individuals from basic beginner level to highly knowledgeable expert levels in in providing support around Boston Scientific PI products and therapies
  • Utilizing composed learning and training offerings to develop Awareness, Understanding, Application and Enhancement of required cognitive and technical skills.
  • Provide project management and subject matter expert input into the creation of new training experiences and select the optimum delivery channel for the experience within a blended pathway.
  • Manage digital content and access portals in collaboration with technical experts.
  • Conduct field assessment in collaboration with Line Managers in specific development areas as needed.
  • Ensure all meeting and training materials meet legal requirements.
  • Work with the Field Training Council members, Marketing and other internal and external specialist to develop training content, certification processes, learning and sales call surveys for product and therapy training
  • Manage calendar and planning for training programs to ensure sufficient capacity to meet demand. 
  • Track changes and update the content of the new hire training classes
  • Collaborate with EMEA Marketing and functional partners (Medical Affairs, Medical Education, HEMA etc.) to ensure that training content is relevant and competitive intent is up to date
  • Work with the EMEA Marketing on specific projects, special projects, and product promotions
  • Track compliance of pre-work, in-class training and post-work requirements (quiz scores, eLearning, case reporting etc.)
  • Execute assessment processes following each training class and meeting
  • Agility to modify plan based on business need
  • Adoption and champion of new technologies to improve outcome of the learner


Knowledge & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree required.
  • Minimum 3 years of successful Sales, Marketing, Sales training and or Sales experience in the medical (device) space, ideally in the field of interventional and/or oncology therapies
  • Ability to manage Divisional Training Specialist as direct report
  • Advanced digital skills, can manage all common virtual communication platforms
  • Basic brain-shark development and management skills and ability to edit material and simple video clips
  • Interact effectively with all levels within the organization and with outside vendors/consultants.
  • Build and maintain strong customer relationships, be energetic, enthusiastic, determined and goal oriented.
  • Grasp technical content with minimum work experience in delivering training, curriculum design & development advantageous
  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines within a fast-paced, multi-disciplinary, high visibility environment
  • Display confidence while presenting to others with strong presentation skills
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • English language a necessity, additional European language is ideal
  • When safe travel is possible again, willingness to travel, meet and engage with internal and external customers across the EMEA region for minimum of 1/3 of the working time
