Product Owner – Gold Harvest Electrical Team

The Harvesting Software and Electronics Team at AGCO Hesston Operations has an immediate opening for a Product Owner – Gold Harvest Electrical Team.  The successful candidate will lead the team that is responsible for AGCO’s Gold Harvest Electrical Harness Development as it relates to current product maintenance, new products/feature introduction, support of other technology initiatives and in addition to leading an agile team of electrical engineers.  Gold Harvest refers to the combine harvester product line branded Fendt, Massey Ferguson, and Gleaner.  Some of the desired capabilities for the person filling this role are:

  • Responsibilities
    • Take responsibility for leading the development of electrical systems within AGCO Gold Harvesting projects
    • Provide day-to-day direction and exercise direct supervision over team members
    • Support validation, manufacturing, service, and technical support teams on issues as it relates to electronics
    • Work with both local and global cross-functional engineering teams to ensure that best practices for circuit design, harness routing, use and application of connectors, and signal optimization is followed
    • Work closely with the Solution Product Owner on prioritization of team backlog and alignment of global feature releases
    • Provide input and direction as it relates to OpEx and CapEx development expenses per project
    • Clearly communicate regular updates to project stakeholders as it relates to schedule, project risk, or design change.
    • Track all issues related to harnesses, with clear visibility of failure tracking, containment actions, release schedules and validation plan
    • Conduct routine virtual harness reviews with larger cross-functional teams
    • Provide accurate time estimation as it relates to design releases and delivering to the estimated timelines

  • Qualifications
    • Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical, Mechanical or other related field and 7 or more years of relevant work experience
    • Strong leadership traits and characteristics
    • Organizational and prioritization skills are vital for this position
    • Prior project management experience primarily using Polarion Application Lifecycle Management or similar toolset and within an AGILE environment is a strong plus
    • Familiarity with agriculture, agricultural machinery or heavy duty machinery is highly desirable
