About the Role

You will be the sales lead for all Harman Lifestyle Audio brands and categories within your assigned Key Account trade, Semi-OEM most specifically.  You will be responsible for developing, executing and managing all sales related activities with key accounts while developing assigned new customer potentials.  You will work closely with the development team to manage the process of defining products and programs, building quotes, indications and ultimately business cases

What You Will Do

  • Accountable for assigned fiscal year budgets by brand and categories
  • Responsible for developing key account plans to meet or exceed assigned budgets
  • Actively engaged in direct account management of key accounts
  • Direct and manage all sales activities directly and in conjunction sales leadership and other Harman staff
  • Conduct regularly scheduled in-person business reviews and future planning with key customers to ensure alignment to budgets and strategies
  • Instrumental in identifying key customer targets for new product launches and tracking commitments
  • Maximize all revenue opportunities while minimizing financial risks to Harman and Customers
  • Develop and maintain 12 month rolling product forecasts (monthly)
  • Provide 6 month rolling projections on a weekly basis
  • Work closely with order processing team and supply chain to ensure timely customer order fulfillment
  • Contribute to the development of future product roadmaps appropriate to Semi-OEM channel strategy
  • Qualify new product concepts with select key customers and provides sales input to the new product development process
  • Monitor new product development timelines to ensure on-time delivery to meet customers seasonal deadlines
  • With sales leadership, set and continually refine Semi-OEM channel strategy
  • Responsible for monitoring and reporting relevant competitive activity in the marketplace

 

What You Need

  • Bachelor's degree in business management or related degree
  • Minimum 7 years of related sales / sales management experience, preferably experience in Car Audio, Marine or Powersports
  • Creative Self-Starter, with 12V product knowledge and system design
  • Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables
  • Solid math skills and the ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume
  • Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry
  • Strong communication skills (written and oral)
  • Ability break down complex problems into manageable solutions
  • Strong business acumen and Excellent product presentation skills

 

What is Nice to Have

  • Experience with OEM Quality Systems
  • Audio knowledge, audio system specification and diagnostic experience is a plus
  • Strong critical thinking and problem solving skills
