The Role

This position will function as a product manager and will be accountable for content decisions for the Agile Release Train (ART). This position will own and prioritize the Program Backlog of IT features, collaborating with other roles to provide the content development teams will consume to provide outstanding customer value.  Agile roles are not passive positions in an org chart. We proactively work to gain the skills we need to enhance the systems providing great customer value, master our role, and support others to be the best they can be.  This position will:

  • Gather and Define what functionality is needed  
  • Optimize the value of the development team’s work (ART’s)  
  • Clearly Express Program Backlog items  
  • Present Product Backlog at Events  
  • Plan/ Run PI review  
  • Close out sprint activities for accurate reporting
  • Confirm “Done” work in a review
  • Relentlessly identify and implement continuous improvement opportunities
  • Work across multiple ARTs/Value Streams to ensure features remain on track for timely delivery

 

The Main Responsibilities

  • Work with IT SCRUM teams, Business Product Owners, and Subject Matter Experts (SME) to manage work through the AGILE PI pipeline. 
  • Duties also involve working with team to break down capabilities into features that can be completed in one sprint. 
  • Must be effective in communicating the state of the ART to executive leadership and work through established processes to ensure work coming into the ART is approved and funded for IT to work. 
  • Coordinating and project managing large initiatives across multifunctional teams to drive business results.

 

What We Look For in a Candidate

  • PMP certification or equivalent experience
  • Knowledge of Engineering systems helpful but not required
  • Familiar with the XLR8 Agile methodology.
  • Familiar with the JIRA and Confluence tools for recording capabilities, features and user stories.
  • Good presentation and communications skills for presenting the ART’s work to executives.
  • Knowledge of Clarity to verify charge codes for IT

Education

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent typically with 10+ years or 8+ years with a Master's Degree.

Salary Range
Salary Min $97740         Salary Max $217680 
This information reflects the anticipated base salary range for this position based on current national data. Minimums and maximums may vary based on location.  Individual pay is based on skills, experience and other relevant factors.
