Position Summary
Do you enjoy using your creative and analytical marketing skills to drive revenue? This position works with J. J. Keller's Corporate Marketing team to drive sales leads and customer response rates for J. J. Keller's Transportation technology solutions, Consulting Services and Outsource Services offerings. This position will be developing and executing integrated marketing programs (direct sell and lead generation) utilizing a number of channels including e-mail, direct mail, print advertising, sales collateral and catalog. This is a remote office position and can reside anywhere in the U. S.
Job Responsibilities
- Assists with developing twelve-month schedules, forecasts, and budgets, ensuring that budgeted promotions will support the forecast.
- Assists with webcast planning and developing promotions (audience, offer, unique selling proposition, benefits, approach, and promotion type) and facilitates execution of related activities. Maintains promotion details in appropriate systems including CRM, QuickBase, SharePoint and others.
- Develops and executes marketing plans. May create independently or in collaboration with Creative & Promotion, Editorial, and other areas as appropriate.
- Generates reports/list specifications for promotions. Researches, identifies, and tests lists, ensuring optimization of lists based on promotion objectives.
- Performs analyses of promotions, target audiences, and purchasing patterns. Responsible for defining the analysis objectives, understanding the data, performing analysis, presenting results and modifying plans based on results.
- Monitors progress towards various objectives (revenue, credit memos, response rates, margins, profitability, subscription count, new customer acquisition targets) and recommends changes to plans based on progress.
- Participates in related market research projects, providing marketing input and utilizing research results in promotional plans.
Qualifications
Education:

Bachelor's Degree in Business related field.
Experience:
- 3+ years direct marketing experience, preferably in a direct response environment.
- Business-to-Business marketing experience preferred.
- Direct mail and telemarketing or sales coordination experience preferred.
Other Skills/Qualifications:
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite with advanced experience working with Excel.
- Demonstrated written, creative and verbal communication skills.
- Proven understanding of marketing principles utilizing direct sales and direct marketing programs.
- Demonstrated ability to coordinate multiple projects and tasks.
- Ability to perform analysis of promotions, margins, target audiences, and purchasing patterns.
Physical Requirements
Work is performed primarily in a standard office environment. Work involves operation of personal computer equipment for extended periods of time. Occasional travel to customer sites and/or industry and training events may also be required, depending on assignment.
