The ‘Small Business & Consolidated Results’ planning team is accountable for Small Business subscriber forecasting and consolidation of BCE subscriber results – delivering both summarized and very detailed views as required.  Under the leadership of Bell’s Planning and Strategy Director, the team leads forecasting inputs for key cycles from strategic plans (long range outlooks and annual business plans) through to monthly and weekly targets used to drive and measure the business. Among other things, the team provides weekly results analytics, monthly and quarterly outlooks, and official YEE submissions, regularly collaborating with groups across BCE to deliver accurate and meaningful insights.  We are a nimble, efficient team that is continually looking for improvements and enhancements to add more value.

Reporting to the Senior Manager, the Specialist, Subscriber, Forecasting & Planning is responsible for building, maintaining and communicating subscriber forecasts (activations, deactivations, nets) for Small Business services (Phone, Internet, TV, and Security). The successful candidate will work with cross-functional teams (sales, marketing, operations, business intelligence, finance), utilizing their strong communication skills. This role interacts directly with the executive team to approve recommended targets and to build and incorporate strategic plans. The successful candidate is highly motivated, attentive to details, curious, and a team player with strong analytical and communication skills.

Job Duties/Accountabilities:

  • Develop monthly subscriber forecasts to secure executive approval, working closely with teams to input targets into reporting environment at a detailed level
  • Understand key business drivers (e.g. market trends, seasonality, pricing offers, product mix) and develop robust forecasts by various dimensions including region
  • Analyze weekly results, understand variance drivers, and adjust month-end estimates on a weekly basis
  • Conduct ad-hoc analyses and present findings/insights to the leadership team
  • Continuously look to improve and evolve the forecasting model
  • Deliver quality results combining speed and accuracy in a high performance role

 Critical Qualifications/Competencies:

  • Undergraduate degree in Business, Finance, Business Intelligence, or related fields
  • 2+ years experience in Forecasting & Planning, Analytics or related disciplines
  • Experience with financial models and analysis
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills (written and verbal) with a history of developing strong partnerships and cross-team collaboration
  • Advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills combined with the ability to simplify complex data for executive-level presentations
  • Experience presenting to, and influencing, executive decision makers
  • Organization and time management skills to handle multiple demands in a fast-paced environment
  • Highly motivated, energetic, with a results-driven mindset

 Preferred Qualifications/Competencies:

  • Ability to write SQL queries for self-serve data sourcing
  • Experience with SAS and/or other database systems considered an asset


Bilingualism is an asset (English and French); adequate knowledge of French is required for positions in Quebec.
