Reporting structure:

The APAC Social Media Coordinator reports directly to the Head of Social Media APAC within the Kaspersky Global Corporate Communications team.

 

 

Role purpose:

 

  • You will have the exciting opportunity to be part of the APAC social media team for the world’s leading independent cybersecurity company, collaborating with teammates all around the world, and helping to build a safer & more digitally secure world through strong social media comms.
  • Hands-on day-to-day running of social media accounts for Asia-Pacific region of leading Global Cybersecurity brand Kaspersky. 
  • Manage strategy for one of Kaspersky’s global social media accounts.
  • Hands-on day-to-day running of employee advocacy platform for APAC region.  Ensuring platform is running, and encouraging employees across APAC to be actively involved.
  • Building relationships with stakeholders across borders & departments.
  • Reviewing content, measuring success, and compiling content performance reports. 
  • Listening and engaging with local customers via social media channels.
  • Focused on delivering KPIs, including improving social media contribution to driving awareness, increasing web traffic & lead generation.
  • Help educate & inspire APAC colleagues to involve social media as a greater part of their communications & marketing plans. 
  • Use knowledge of India market to bring special projects & initiatives to life to help grow brand awareness in India & South Asia. 

 

 

What You Will Be Doing:

 

  • Sourcing content from across the business, building relationships with stakeholders across borders & departments.
  • Creating and scheduling content for a variety of social channels, including but not limited to Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, Twitter, TikTok, blogs. 
  • Building social media ads with specific business driving KPIs (through Facebook Business Manager, LinkedIn Business Manager Etc.).  
  • Writing social media posts (copywriting) and blogs for publishing across APAC. 
  • Monitoring, listening & community managing social channels.  Knowing when to engage and when to escalate. 
  • Reviewing content, measuring success against KPIs, and compiling content performance reports. 
  • Finding special opportunities & ongoing initiatives to help grow awareness and brand footprint in India & South Asia through APAC social media channels. 
  • Be eyes & ears for social media growth opportunities in India, and proactively make recommendations. 
  • Assist in defining social media strategy for India & South Asia. 
  • Keep up with relevant industry trends within social media, both regionally and globally.
  • Evaluate global content in terms of local relevance.
  • Partner with local stakeholders for integrated campaigns – including communications, marketing and sales functions.
  • Influencer campaigns project management.
  • Proactively share best practices with regional and global teams. 

 

 

Your Goals and Objectives:

 

  • Expanding reach, brand awareness and web traffic through social platforms with customers and prospects across APAC. 
  • Lead generation and customer acquisition via social advertising across APAC. 
  • Content delivery and creation for local APAC blogs. 
  • Spearhead special projects for India & South Asia, growing our brand footprint. 
  • Proactively seeking out social media growth opportunities in India & South Asia, and making recommendations & proposals. 
  • Successful day-to-day running of some global social media channels, including copywriting, posting, moderating, and community management. 
  • Work across countries and departments (especially PR, Marketing, and Sales) in the creation of special social media activations across APAC region. 
  • Measuring success and creating regular reporting for sharing across the region. 
  • Day-to-day running of internal employee advocacy platform & growing employee participation across the APAC region. 

 

 

What You Should Have/Know:

 

  • Fluent in English and Hindi (reading, writing, and speaking) is a requirement to apply for this role. 
  • Completed degree (BA, BSc, MA, MSc) in journalism, communications, marketing, philosophy, psychology, literature, – any humanitarian science. IT-related also accepted.
  • Additional education/training/certification in communications, social media, or digital marketing is advantageous. 
  • Minimum 1 year of experience in social media comms/social media marketing/social media operations, PR/mass media, blogging, digital marketing.    
  • Being a team player who is proactive and friendly is a must for this role.  Positive, honest, and with a good sense of humour is a big plus. 
  • Experienced in running social media advertising campaigns, including hands-on experience with Facebook & LinkedIn Business/Ads Manager. 
  • Hands-on experience of running organic social media feeds for businesses (Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn etc).  Knowledge of different types of posts and publishing formats. 
  • Experience of working with 3rd party social media management tools would be a plus (i.e. Sprinklr, HootSuite, Meltwater, AgoraPulse Etc.). 
  • Be willing to share portfolio of professional work or successful campaigns. 
  • Interested in Popular Culture.  A personal interest in American, British, and Indian pop culture would be advantageous.
  • Blogging skills would be advantageous. 
  • Basic Photoshop skills would be a plus but not required. 
  • IT/Software knowledge would be a plus but not required. 
  • Must know how to follow global guidelines and leadership.
  • Must be a proactive self-starter who can build strong relationships.
  • Ability to collaboratively and act creatively.
  • Must be able to work and adapt quickly.
  • Valid passport or ability to attain one is also required.
  • Be willing to travel internationally if needed.
