Reports directly to the General Ledger Supervisor and interfaces with counterparts in other service locations, project offices, and controller management.

 

Responsible for assigned General Ledger Accountant,

 

Responsible for maintaining assigned general ledger balancing segments or accounts to include, b) initiates and completes corrective actions to ensure that outstanding items in account reconciliations are cleared promptly c) actively advertises with other departments and follows up on corrective actions. d) preparation of various report in general ledger on requirement basis. e) perform the monthly GL close activity. f) help the Audit and tax team. Prepares and submits required financial reporting adjustments to supervisor and Operations Reporting, as necessary. Reviews and reconciles all general ledger balances for assigned balancing segments and ensures that monthly, helping schedules are prepared in a timely manner and are reviewed for compliance with established procedures. Coordinates with local financial services managers/ controllers to ensure that financial information required to help both internal and local statutory requirements are obtained and provided in a timely manner. Perform special studies or analyses from time to time as needed and requested by supervisors and managers. Perform quarterly and yearly analysis on specific balance sheet accounts for reporting to head office

 

Basic Qualifications : 

Bachelor’s Degree in accounting or a related field and at 3 -5 years of accounting experience Basic knowledge of document imaging software, procurement systems, financial reporting, Oracle Financials Basic skills in the areas of oral and written communications, project financial process controls, MS Office suite of applications (e.g. Word, Excel, Outlook), accounts payable, general ledger and billing Spanish Languages expert.

 

Preferred Qualifications:

Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing.

Understanding of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) and applicable accounting methods.

Must be dependable, punctual, conscientious, and function well in a team environment.

The ideal candidate will be flexible and adaptable and have the ability to maintain a positive and professional attitude and maintain composure under stress.

The ideal candidate must be ‘self-starter’ capable of working independently, taking initiative identifying and resolving issues, managing workload, and handling correspondence.

The ideal candidate must possess good organization skills, ability to provide constant attention to detail, and have ability to apply quality control over a heavy volume work with tight deadlines.

Candidate is expected to maintain confidentiality of all information entrusted to the position.
