JOB SUMMARY 

 

The Direct Sales Manager is responsible for sales to end customers within the respective region/area. The Direct Sales Manager reports to the Manager, Cluster Sales Lead of a region and drives the strategic direction set within the defined geographic area. He/she develops & retains relationships with customers and ensures fill of sales pipeline.

He/she develops & retains relationships with customers and ensures fill of sales pipeline and thereby develops the AGCO G&P product sales. She/he investigatse and analyze customer and market trends which will be fed back into product management / engineering to ensure the right product offering. Also, she/he ensures  competitive pricing in alignment with strategic marketing, manufacturing, and product management.

He/she manages sales activities and identifies potential sales opportunities, drive quotations as well as plans and executes sales activities in order to meet sales objectives. Further he/she collects information on a specific opportunity (e.g., requirements, budget, timelines, competition) to assess size, likelihood and complexity and add it into systems. She/he the sales support team and align with commercial excellence to develop aftersales business with customers.

If needed he/she organizes and conduct Sales Training, Distributor / Customer Product presentations as required on the various AGCO products.

He/she is responsible for budget planning & forecast of direct sales within area of responsibility.

 

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES 

 

  • Develop AGCO G&P product and project sales through establishing, developing and retaining direct customer relations
  • Investigate and analyze customer and market trends
  • Manage sales activities and identify potential direct sales opportunities, drive quotations
  • Plan and execute sales activities in order to meet sales objectives
  • Engage the sales support team and align with commercial excellence to develop aftersales business with direct customers
  • Ensures competitive pricing in alignment with strategic marketing, manufacturing, and product management
  • Collects information on specific opportunity (e.g., requirements, budget, timelines, competition) to assess size, likelihood and complexity and add it into systems
  • Work with Marketing Department on campaigns / new product release
  • Organise and conduct Sales Training, Distributor / Customer Product presentations as required on the various AGCO products
  • Responsible for budget planning & forecast of direct sales within area of responsibility
  • Resposible together with the team for finding the best solution for the clients

 

JOB REQUIREMENTS

 

  • Knowledge of the industry and the respective regions (Seed Cleaning Business)
  • A bachelor’s degree related to one or several following areas: Agriculture, Marketing, Sales, Project Management, Business Administration
  • Ability to develop and sustain strong customer relationships; strong planning and organizational skills
  • At least 5+ years experience in sales of complex machinery
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Excellent spoken and written communication and presentation skills
  • Solid PC skill including Microsoft Software
  • Experience with Salesforce
