Supports Utility Operations in the management of developing safety training programs/strategy/presentations/workshops/communications/policy/rules.
Work with Jurisdictional Safety Team to ensure effective implementation of safety programs and the creation of new programs from analyzing audit/observation/assessment information and consistent system-wide application of safety processes and procedures across the Jurisdiction.
Must have excellent oral and written communication skills so as to interact effectively with all levels of employees, particularly at the senior management level. Must have the ability to influence and motivate a diverse and geographically dispersed work force dealing with a wide variety of safety and training issues.
Supports the contract workforce, including, but not limited to: Investigate Contractor Incidents and Safety related issues on Entergy System, Perform Field Observations to assure compliance of OSHA Regulations and Entergy Safety Rules and Procedures, Assist Contractor Safety Department during Accident Investigations and Support Contractor Training of Entergy Safety Rules and Procedures.
Must be familiar with and have the ability to interpret OSHA regulations and provide guidance to management on the proper application of these regulations in the workplace.
Minimum education required of the position
High school diploma or equivalent. Desired: Bachelor's degree, preferably in the area of Safety.
Minimum experience required of the position
Minimum eight years experience in a related field.

Strong knowledge of computers and related technology. Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills. Ability to take and understand directives and complete tasks. Ability to make timely and safe decisions. Excellent knowledge of Entergy's safety policies and procedures. Strong problem solver. Ability to manage multiple activities and changing priorities. Ability to maintain and care for Company equipment properly and safeguard assets. Demonstrated acceptance of a diverse and inclusive work environment and customer base. Desired: Ability to recognize opportunities for process improvement and have the ability to enact change.
