The Global Privacy Office (‘GPO’) delivers global policies, standards, and practices and partners with teams across Capital Group to implement the required controls to ensure our handling of individuals’ personal information complies with regulations and supports the continued trusted relationships with our customers, partners, and associates. As a GPO Senior Analyst, you will help develop controls and practices to ensure safe and compliant processing of personal information and partner with various business areas to implement the controls and practices.

 

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Partner with Capital’s global Legal Team to identify, define, and document the required controls and practices to comply with new and updated privacy regulations.
  • Assist business teams with maintaining their records of personal information processing and identifying controls required to comply with privacy regulations.
  • Assist business teams with performing impact assessments of new and updated collection and processing of personal information and identifying required changes to privacy controls and practices to comply with regulations.
  • Work with business, technology, and data governance teams to evaluate solutions to provide increased scale and self-service to support Capital’s ability to comply with privacy regulations.

 

Skills and Qualifications:

The ideal candidate will demonstrate the following attributes:

  • strong interest in data privacy, security, and governance
  • baseline understanding of privacy principles and regulation requirements
  • ability to translate regulatory requirements into controls and practices that can be practically applied to the processing of data
  • ability to partner with business, technology, legal, and risk management teams to implement controls and practices to support privacy
  • creative thinking to help identify, define, and implement scalable and self-service approaches to support business teams’ ability to comply with privacy regulations
  • strong written and oral communication skills to support effective communications with groups of various sizes and individuals at various levels of responsibility
  • sound judgment in resolving matters of high complexity
  • ability to handle multiple assignments, prioritize assigned work, and complete activities in a timely manner
