Position Overview:

The primary responsibility of the Receptionist – Talent Acquisition is to perform administrative tasks within the Talent Acquisition department, and managing the reception area of the Employment Center, including answering the telephones, welcoming and screening visitors.

All duties are to be performed in accordance with departmental and The Venetian Resort’s policies, practices, and procedures.  

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Manages reception area of the Employment Center.
  • Open and closes Employment Center reception area and ensures reception area is tidy and presentable with all necessary stationery and materials.
  • Greets, welcomes, and screens visitors with a positive, helpful attitude.
  • Answers, screens, and directs telephone calls in a professional manner, provides information to callers, and monitors main line message box, takes and delivers messages.
  • Maintain visitor and phone call logs.
  • Provides administrative duties and clerical support for department.
  • Sorts and routes mail, sends scheduling and appointment emails, makes photocopies, and sends faxes.
  • Orders departmental supplies and maintains inventory.

Additional Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Performs scheduling duties, including high-volume group interviews using the Company’s internal tracking system.
  • Maintains the Employment Center conference room and interview room calendars.
  • Prepares interview and conference rooms for interviews/meetings.
  • Complies with department policies and procedures to complete tasks satisfactorily.
  • Safety is an essential function of this job.
  • Consistent and regular attendance is an essential function of this job.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • 21 years of age.
  • Proof of authorization/eligibility to work in the United States.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a valid Nevada Gaming Control Board registration and any other certification or license, as required by law or policy.
  • Minimum one year of experience as a receptionist.
  • Bilingual in Spanish, preferred.
  • Strong time management skills, including ability to manage multiple competing tasks simultaneously.
  • Experience with high-volume administrative and clerical procedures.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Prior experience managing multiple calendars.
  • Prior experience managing a multi-line phone system.
  • Able to contribute positively as part of a team, helping with various tasks as required.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Outlook, PowerPoint and Excel.
  • Ability to communicate clearly and effectively in English, both in spoken and written form.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with guests and other Team Members of different backgrounds and levels of experience.
  • Must be able to work varied shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.

  • Work in a fast-paced and busy environment.
  • Work indoors and be exposed to various environmental factors such as, but not limited to light, noise, dust, and cigarette smoke.
