About the role:

The Project Management Office, Manager II will act as a critical member of the Peripheral Interventions Program Management Office (PMO) leadership team. 

  • Lead new product development portfolio activities.
  • Effectively lead team ensuring good cross-functional communications.
  • Delegate and manage tasks among team members as appropriate to their skill level and risk to the project.
  • We are looking for someone who can help bridge the gap between strategy and execution, identify/track key performance indicators, and utilize this performance data to help make better decisions across the portfolio.
  • We are looking for someone who can enhance our resource management, budget management, timeline management, and project performance management systems to help us manage our new product development portfolio more efficiently.

Your responsibilities include:

  • Act as liaison between product development project leaders, the project management office (PMO), and executive leadership to monitor and report on overall performance of new product development portfolio across key performance metrics.
  • Lead annual operating plan and quarterly portfolio budgeting cycles, with visibility/accountability to functional and executive leadership.
  • Subject matter expert for resource, budget, project performance databases.  Train project managers to independently manage their projects within the system.
  • Maintain key project information within key PMO databases, and report on portfolio performance through monthly reports.
  • Act as liaison between project leaders and functional managers to enable resource allocation/charging to projects as needed
  • Monthly/Quarterly reporting of results and metrics, and continued refinement and improvement of metrics for tracking of project/portfolio performance
  • Participate in quarterly / annual strategic planning process.

 

What we’re looking for:

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Project Management, Finance/Business, or Engineering
  • 3-5 years professional work experience, preferably in Project Management / PMO
  • Experience using budgeting and resource allocation systems and databases
  • Demonstrated data analysis/reporting, and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication and presentation skills
  • Proficient in standard office software: Excel, Word, PowerPoint
  • Possess a strong work ethic with a commitment to continuous improvement and drive to exceed expectations

 

Preferred Qualifications

  • 3+ years of experience in the Medical Device or other project focused environment
  • Demonstrated experience in portfolio, resource, and budget management
  • Data analytics experience and the ability to create new and/or modify existing database applications is a significant plus.
