The Intelligent Solutions Group (ISG) of John Deere in Kaiserslautern develops future trends and technologies in the area of mobile agricultural and construction machinery in cooperation with different research centers. In addition, ISG develops and sells products and services in the area of precision farming using global satellite based navigation systems (GNSS), automated steering systems, machine automation, sensor technologies, telematic system solutions, web applications as well as apps for mobile devices to optimize farming processes and to support decision making.

Product Marketing Coordinator (f/m/d)

R2 Precision Ag Focus Groups

Your Responsibilities:

In this role, you will work closely with farmers, contractors, John Deere dealers and John Deere’s in-house product development teams in digital and precision farming. Your tasks essentially include the expansion, maintenance and coordination of the existing customer focus groups in order to successfully maintain a constant feedback channel into product development. The cooperation with local and global teams, as well as the coordination with internal stakeholders are part of the day-to-day business. With the teams of the production systems as well as the product verification and validation, you coordinate, plan and carry out the content for respective meetings of the focus groups. In addition, you will set up a virtual reference depository in which customer feedback and statements can be easily retrieved at the required time.

Finally, you will assist in the identification of software companies connected / unconnected to the John Deere Operations Center™, which enable an increased and complementary customer benefit.

 

What you bring:

 

  • Completed studies in agriculture, marketing, innovation management or comparable qualification
  • Knowledge in the field of Agriculture 4.0 / digitization of the agricultural sector
  • Knowledge of customer requirements, products and relevant competitors as well as startups in the field of precision agriculture
  • In-depth understanding of precision farming products, solutions and their benefits
  • Knowledge in the field of agronomy
  • Practical experience in sales and marketing activities should be given
  • John Deere Product and process knowledge is an advantage
  • Interest in a successful networking of customers and developers
  • Solution-oriented mindset
  • Independent and structured way of working
  • Professional appearance and excellent communication skills
  • Analytical skills and proven project experience
  • Interest and willingness to learn from others
  • Fluent English skills are required, other languages are an advantage
  • Good knowledge of Microsoft Office (MS Teams, PowerPoint, Outlook, Word, Excel)
  • Willingness to travel up to 30%
  • Driving license class B and T, if necessary, CE are desired
