National Railroad Passenger Corporation (Amtrak) has an opening for a Principle Application System Engineer in Washington, DC.
Job Duties: Conduct software analysis, design, prototyping, coding, unit testing and integration. Work on implementation and maintenance of software development work. Collaborate with the technical teams and interfaces directly with the business to define data requirements and resolve data integrity. Develop and manage continuous integration and continuous deployment for all systems. Build application packages for production and non-production environment, and manage build configuration. Lead, participate and manage the service change, transition and continuous improvement. Documents changes to architecture, design, and integration Maintains application support document repositories. Helps develop and maintain system and software architecture diagrams and all service artefacts. Monitor and support all the services, systems, and performance metrics to meet the SLAs.
