Overview:

Support COTS GNC/FSW team with CRS Mission GNC FSW development. Participate in GNC software requirements review, preliminary and critical design reviews, integration readiness review and GNC software acceptance reviews. Design and develop complex GNC software systems, including design, coding and testing. Formulate and design GNC software system, using scientific analysis and mathematical models to predict and measure outcome and consequences of the design. Make frequent contacts with customers both internal and external concerning design and maintenance of GNC software. Represent the company in providing solutions to difficult technical problems associated with specific projects. Analyze GNC software requirements to determine feasibility of design within time and cost constraints. Support proposal efforts and present GNC analysis, test and design of software. Coordinates installation of GNC software system and the engineering configuration management software changes/development. Performs other duties as assigned or required.

Required Qualifications: BS Degree in Aerospace, Mechanical or Electrical Engineering (MS degree preferred) with 7 yrs relevant experience in space industry

1) Familiarity with Rhapsody development environment

2) C/C++ programming experience

3) Proficient in Matlab, Simulink and real time work shop tool

4) Ability to analyze control systems using time and frequency domain techniques

5) Ability to analyze and tune kalman filters for attitude determination and relative navigation

6) Experience with Earned Value Management System
