In your role, you will:
–
Lead and engage cross functional teams in the deployment of our company wide initiative called Operational Excellence
–
Develop and transformational plans and management approach that take the Objectives and Strategies of the OE model and support the implementation of it company wide
–
Lead the change activity throughout the organization with the responsibility to diagnose, design and develop improvement plans, design, develop and deliver training material, and finally, to coach and mentor the system to ensure knowledge transfer and adherence to the standard.

Complete Diagnostic/analysis activity to help teams assess the current state reality and support developing solutions through knowledge and up-skilling the team.

Design of solutions involving key stakeholders and the facilitation of solutions utilizing the application of Lean manufacturing concepts
–
Facilitate local teams to implement tactical improvement plans and increase the teams understanding of continuous improvement
–
Provide localized training and coaching on specific “Lean” tools and enablers moving towards “value adding” processes
–
Demonstrate creative application of Lean concepts and strong problem-solving skills in terms of leading and teaching stakeholders in structured problem-solving techniques
–
You will participate in decisions that have significant impact in the area of change management and overall employee acceptance and engagement of the OE system. Being an affiliative and/or a collaborative leader is essential to support the teams in making the best decisions that ensure integrity of the OE system and supports the overall performance of the business.
Qualifications
As our ideal candidate,
– You have a Degree / diploma in an Engineering discipline
–
You possess managerial level experience (preferred)
–
You possess 5-10 years of manufacturing experience (asset)
–
You have proven capability in the application of Lean manufacturing concepts.
–
You have demonstrated capability in leading change and have a high amount of influencing skill
–
You are fluent in IT systems and have a desire to support the development of IT based solutions
–
You demonstrate Core Bombardier organizational competencies for this role in the following areas; change management, interpersonal communication, teamwork, planning & organizing, problem solving, decision making, coaching and conflict management
–
Bilingual is an asset to the role
–
You will exemplify Change Management skills coupled with a solid analytical background
–
You are a self-starter and able to work independently with minimal supervision at times
–
You will be able to apply creative solutions in a team environment for change involving the application of Lean concepts and tools.
–
You must be able to work autonomously and develop solutions based on concepts, strategy and ideas
– You exemplify a high degree of interpersonal skills to perform the duties of the specialist effectively as it can be all about building and maintaining profound relationships
– You have an ability to develop a relationship through interaction and demonstrated through results within the client work center team (build confidence and momentum for change activities).
– Expertise could be a necessity in supporting external consultants in relation to tools, training and coaching.
– Relationships will need to be fostered/developed effectively and must have the ability to influence change with Leadership, Managers, Line managers. Lead hands and employee teams
