Manager, Regional Consolidation & Reporting

A permanent opportunity has arisen to join the Consolidation team, to take ownership of the team management respobsibilities and for the Consolidation reporting. 

Job Summary
 

This role will manage and coordinate the month and quarter end closing processes for the International region, guide the implementation and provide the ongoing support for the new US GAAP standard on leases, will lead the Regional Consolidation and Reporting team. In addition, this role will be responsible for coordination of the monthly and quarterly submissions of the Income Statement, Balance Sheet and Cash flow to Corporate headquarters. This role will be a primary contact point for Corporate, Internal and External auditors. The successful candidate will need to be customer focused and will need to drive efficiency and quality improvements to ensure operational excellence and continuous improvement. There will also be a strong focus on quality of corporate reporting. At end 2017 the International region comprised of c. 100 legal entities with a turnover of almost $6bn.

Job Responsibilities
 

– Management of a team of 6 accountants / specialists.
– Primary contact point for Regional and Corporate headquarters, and for the internal and external auditors.
– Responsible for the review and issuing of the International region cashflow.
– Responsible for the review and issuing of the International region Preliminary Sales Reports.
– Responsible for the review and issuing of the draft International region Actuals Reports.
– Responsible for coordinating all International region loads into Onestream.
– Responsible for controlling all late International region loads into Onestream.
– Responsible for the agreement of key accounts for the region.
– Responsibility for ongoing peer review of balance sheet reconciliation work being carried out throughout the region.
– Strong focus on analytical review of the reporting packs, ensuring more valuable information is provided to the business in a timely manner.
– Liaise with business to understand their reporting requirements, ensuring relevant information is included in the issued reports.
– Responsible for coordinating all International region quarterly reports to Corporate headquarters.
– Responsible for the SOX controls over the month end close process.
– Responsible for the integrity of the Onestream data for the International region.
– Responsible for training and support in the Onestream system for the finance community.
– Responsibility for SAP mappings into Onestream for all entities using those systems.
– Responsible for the information required for the new Lease standard, during both the implementation phase and on an ongoing basis.
– Responsible for the Regional maintenance and support the main ‘Lease Accelerator’ system to ensure it serves the requirements of not only finance teams, but also other parts of the business (i.e. procurement)
– Involvement in other ad hoc projects as and when required
– Support the Director Financial Controlling and Consolidation 

 

Minimum Qualifications
 

– Good knowledge of consolidation account reporting, and the month end close process. US GAAP knowledge would be an advantage
– Good knowledge of Onestream systems and their uses, to identify and resolve load issues, and review consolidation information
– Knowledge of SAP to identify and resolve queries and review consolidation information
– Excellent people management skills are required to liaise with other finance and non-finance teams in both the International and other regional locations regarding base loads, consolidation requirements etc.
– Experience of continuous improvement to processes
– Excellent customer focused skills
