Job Summary

 

We are seeking a Journeyman Electrician for our Facilities Department located Mattawan, MI.

 

The Journeyman Electrician position is responsible to install, maintain, test, and troubleshoot electrical systems for the organization’s facilities; ensure proper wiring in construction or repairs and ensure electrical systems are in compliance with local or national regulatory requirements; perform tests and locate potential electrical hazards for repair; inspect and repair electrical systems in equipment or machinery, as needed; work without supervision on the most complex projects; execute independent judgment; assist less experienced peers; and have expert knowledge of the field. This position is also responsible for the processing and remediation of routine and non-routine work orders for all plant electrical systems.

 

The following are minimum qualifications related to the Journeyman Electrician  position:

 

  • BSCS and 2-4 years of relevant experience with Trade Certification; or
  • ASCS and 4-6 years of relevant experience; or
  •  HS/GED and 4-6 years of relevant experience with Journeyman License.
  • Basic familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Computer skills, commensurate with Essential Functions and including ability to learn a validated system.
  • Ability to work extended hours beyond normal work schedule to include, but not limited to, evenings, weekends, extended shifts and/or extra shifts, sometimes on short notice.
  • Ability to work under specific time constraints.
