Job Summary

 

The HR Internal Communications Team is hiring a Communications and Production Specialist for internal communications for CHOP.  In this role, you will produce, design and execute digital employee-facing news and internal campaigns that support the organization’s initiatives. The Production Specialist will also collaborate with Creative Services and Digital Workforce Strategy to develop and share content. The ideal candidate will possess superior project management skills in addition to writing and editing skills. You must be comfortable to work in a fast-paced environment and deal with ambiguity as communications can change based upon situation.  This role will require you to be detail oriented and deadline focused with the ability to multi-task diverse projects. Experience with Adobe InDesign and strong Microsoft Excel knowledge is a plus.

Schedule: Flexible/hybrid  with some on-site days.

Job Responsibilities

  • Manage the intake process for the variety of internal communication requests and coordinate plans with the requestor

  • Produce, design, and execute recurring employee e-newsletters and ad hoc email requests

  • Edit and produce design items needed for internal vehicles, such as article thumbnails, email headers, intranet banners, presentations and other images supplementing internal communications

  • Create and manage editorial and campaign calendars to ensure timely release of high-quality messages to staff and leaders

  • Collaborate with members of the Internal Communications team to execute internal campaigns and design concepts that meet the business objectives of the organization

  • Copyedit, proofread, and revise communications 

  • Support campaigns through ad hoc writing assignments 

  • Develop, track, analyze and manage data collection for internal vehicles

Required Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree

  • At least 1 year of related work experience

Preferred Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in journalism, communications or related discipline(s)

Additional Technical Requirements

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including proficiencies in digital communications and e-mail software systems

  • Adobe Photoshop or other design platform experience preferred

  • Ability to work collaboratively with employee intranet and creative team members, staff, and leaders

  • Highly organized, with a strong ability to independently manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment

  • Proactive, goal-oriented individuals who take pride in what they do and in successfully completing their tasks

To carry out its mission, it is of critical importance for the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia (CHOP) to keep our patients, families and workforce safe and healthy and to support the health of our global community. In keeping with this, CHOP has mandated all workforce members on site at any CHOP location for any portion of their time be vaccinated for COVID-19.
