EBSCO’s Birmingham-based helpdesk team has an exciting opportunity for an intern to join their group. This intern will help support our Birmingham campus with a variety of duties including but not limited to:
•Respond to user requests for service, troubleshoot problems and help develop solutions.
•Support PC hardware components, desktop operating system software, and application software.
•Perform minor repairs to equipment and arrange for other servicing needs.
•Identify and report system issues to vendors. Monitor and test resolution of those issues sent to vendors
•Assist with inventory check-in, storage room maintenance and recycling of old hardware.
•Other duties as requested.
•High school Diploma
•6 months or more technical experience either through school or work.
•Ability to lift 15-44lbs.
•Ability to work onsite at EBSCO HQ at least 15 hours a week
•Previous technical internship experience
•Currently enrolled in a collegiate IT and or MIS degree program
•Tech savvy, enjoys working with people and computers.
•Ability to work autonomously in a very fast paced environment.
