Executive Assistant to Regional Commissioner, Te Tai Tokerau / Northland

  • 12-month fixed term role, full time role based in our Northland Regional Office, Whangarei
  • Get involved at a high level supporting our Regional Commissioner, Te Tai Tokerau / Northland


The Regional Commissioner for Te Tai Tokerau / Northland also holds the portfolio of Regional Public Service Lead for Te Tai Tokerau / Northland. As Executive Assistant you will work closely with the Regional Commissioner supporting the functions of both the Regional Commissioner and Regional Public Service Lead, managing diary, building strong relationships with stakeholders, helping to manage events and more.   You'll be trusted to work with confidential issues and proactively manage the flow of priorities when the Regional Commissioner is out of the office.


In this role, no two days will be the same and the challenges are many and varied.  We are seeking applications from high calibre candidates whose focus is on providing quality, timely and professional support while juggling multiple competing demands including reporting, issues management, event coordination as well as diary, email and travel management and more.

Experience we value includes:

  • Sound experience in an EA/PA role at a senior management level
  • Exceptional organisational and prioritisation skills
  • Experience with proactive diary management
  • Proficiency in using Word, Excel and Outlook

  • Salary starting from $55,821.00 (range E)
