Job Summary

We are seeking an Embryology Cryo Inventory Specialist to work in our Embryology Department at our Wilmington, MA location.

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Responsible for daily checks and maintenance of our liquid nitrogen storage tanks that contain cryopreserved product.
  • Responsible for inventory control of cryopreserved product in liquid nitrogen storage tanks.
  • Under direct supervision will initiate a survey of the current inventory of cryopreserved product stored in liquid nitrogen tanks.
  • Maintains accurate records of cryopreserved product inventory in ICM (Internet Colony Management) database. 
  • Able to work closely with the project management team, to assist in the integration of the inventory records previously kept in a Microsoft Access database into ICM.
  • As necessary, assist the lab in shipping and receiving of cryopreserved product to and from costumers.
  • Supports lab operations whenever needed.
  • Adheres to all departmental SOPs, policies, safety procedures, and protocols.
  • Must be able to work in a laboratory, controlled environments requiring personal protective equipment.
  • Works productively in a group situation as well as independently.
  • Job pace may be fast and job completion demands may be high.
  • Must be able to lift equipment of up to 35 lbs in weight.

 

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High School Diploma or General Education Degree (G.E.D.)
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Collaborate fluidly with peers, supervisors, and cross functional support groups. 
  • Proficient in computers (i.e. Microsoft Office).

 
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • General laboratory experience.
  • Database experience.
  • Experience handling liquid nitrogen.
