Main Responsibilities:

  • Work with electrification application team to mechanically integrate eMachines into vehicle systems:
    • Completion of load analysis
    • Completion of bearing analysis
    • Space claim studies
    • Performance requirements
  • Assist with the development of test fixtures for the testing of eMachines
    • Concept generations
    • Design review with Test Lab and eMachine team
    • Creation of drawings
    • Test plan development
    • Post processing data 
  • Assist with integration of new eMachine technology
    • Concept generation
    • Component interfaces

What Skills You Need:

  • Good understanding of eMachines and their underlying theory of operation                                                                        
  • Knowledge of design for rotating mechanical components including, bearings, shafts, sealing, etc.                                                                    
  • Strong knowledge of 3D modeling utilizing Creo and PDMLink                                                                       
  • Knowledge of MATLAB, Simulink and nCode                                                                        
  • Knowledge of SAP and part workflow                                                                    
  • Strong communication and preference for working in teams                                                                         
  • Proactive and results-oriented                                                                  

What Makes You Stand Out:

  • Experience with Creo Parametric                                                                          
  • Experience in eMachine technologies                                                                  
  • Experience in electric and hybrid technologies                                                                 
  • Proven Experience with part workflows and RP Systems in an industry envirnoment                                                                 
  • Experience working with external suppliers to procure new technologies that meet product/systems specifications.                                                              
  • Knowledge of the Enterprise Product Delivery Process (EPDP), Enterprise Technology Development Process (ETDP) and/or Enterprise Customer Acquisition Process (ECAP).                                                                           

Education (or equivalent experience):

  • BS/MS/PhD in EE/ME/Physics Engineering or equivalent experience.
