Job Summary

Carilion Clinic- Health Analytics 

SIGNIFICANT RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Responsible for the development and implementation of key digital health service opportunities to drive improved patient outcomes, enhanced patient and provider experience, and generate cost savings, cost avoidance, or new revenues. 
  • Collaborates with clinical teams, administration, and other service leaders to deliver on the digital health roadmap, drive digital innovation, and enhance the user experience.
  • Engages clinicians, administration, and all other stakeholders in the implementation of utilization of digital health services.
  • Lead and manage a team of direct reports, providing direction on deliverables, including digital platforms, products, user experiences, and roadmaps.
  • Lead sessions in the “Digital Health Experts On…. “series of timely and relevant digital health topics.
  • Contribute to the development of the organization’s digital health strategy.
  • Serve as a product expert which includes use-case exploration, development of informational materials, and facilitation of training in the appropriate modality. 
  • Advocate for the expanded utilization of digital health services throughout the organization.
  • Contribute to the development of the strategic design of digital health initiatives.
  • Ensure that the design and implementation of digital health services meets all regulatory, compliance, and legal requirements.

Minimum Qualifications

Education: · Master’s Degree required. Bachelor’s degree with four years of digital health experience may be considered in lieu of a Master’s Degree.

Experience:
· 7 or more years of experience in healthcare leadership, consulting, business strategy, digital product design or management, or technology system.
· Minimum of 5 years of work experience in the health industry.
· Experience working for hospital systems, healthcare payers, or healthcare vendors in digital strategy, services, or content.
· Significant people management experience with leading project teams and managing direct reports within an organization and working within a matrixed organization.
· Past experience in strategy consulting, user experience or change management is preferred.
· Proven understanding of financial, legal, and regulatory requirements in the health care industry.
· Highly skilled at developing and presenting strong business cases for leadership audiences. · Positive attitude and able to lead change successfully in a fast-paced environment.

Highly Desirable Skills:
· Previous experience with digital health.
· Previous experience with digital health program development.
· Familiarity with hospital and clinic care management environments, operations, language and economics.
· Previous experience with scrum/agile methodologies.

Other Minimum Qualifications: Must be self-directed and motivated with strong customer service skills, diplomacy, leadership skills, organizational and analytical skills. Ability to multi-task and prioritize customer needs, problems, and meet deadlines. Professional with advanced oral and written communication skills with ability to work within all levels of the organization and maneuver across different organizational entities and political environments. Knowledge of business practices, positive attitude, self-motivated, ability to work with minimal direction, and adapt to change. Must be able to work flexible hours including occasional overnight travel, overtime, weekends and afterhours support. Must have good communications, program/project management, facilitation, decision making, critical thinking and listening skills with an ability to pursue desired outcomes in a complex and ambiguous environment. Must have proven problems solving and analysis experience.
