Individual will be responsible for supporting ceramic material filter processing including forming, firing, and sample preparation for new products composition development and customer sampling. The day-to-day work will be focused on (Gasoline Particulate Filter) GPF projects for light duty filter applications. The individual must compile and graph data. He or she will be expected to document results from experiments and share with supervisor and/or project team. He or she will maintain databases for physical properties and customer samples tracking. He or she will also conduct reliability testing of various ceramic filter materials.
Travel requirements: No travel is required.
Hours of work: M-F 7am-4pm, flex time on extrusion days (3-5 days/mo.)– earlier start at 6am
Education and Experience (minimum required):
Associates Degree in Science, Materials Science or Engineering
• General lab skills
• Hands-on equipment operation
• Highly organized and good attention to detail
• Excel data entry and graphing
• Good at multi-tasking – working on several deliverables at the same time
• Minitab or Jump data charting
• Data analysis skills
• Quick learner
• Works well within a team environment
• Good communication skills for team updates
• Adapts to changing priorities well
