Job Summary

Responsible for partnering and consulting with corporate and field management teams on the coordination and implementation of compensation programs for Compass Group North America; including, base pay, bonus/incentive pay, job evaluation, market analysis, year-end processes, etc. Provides information, guidance, and consultation on issues relating to job evaluation, salary administration, market analysis, merit review, bonus plan design, etc to Corporate and Sector Sr Mgmt for North America. Conducts external salary benchmarks and internal salary reviews. Maintains and administers merit tools as well as other standard compensation reports/guidelines. 

•    Utilize compensation expertise to provide guidance and consultative support to ongoing compensation programs (ie, Job Families, Base and Variable Pay Programs).
•    Conduct job evaluations to effectively determine FLSA status, apply appropriate market data and recommend job classification levels.
•    Identify and resolve compensation issues in the field.
•    Utilize market data to identify and analyze pay gaps and recommend solutions to HR and the field.
•    Contribute to the development, design, communication and implementation of compensation programs including but not limited to; salary structures, annual year-end process, job evaluation, job title hierarchies, and base and variable pay information.
•    Partner with other key departments, such as HRIS and Payroll, to ensure systems capture and maintain required data to meet compliance and compensation department requirements.
•    Prepare regular and ad hoc compensation reports.

•    Advanced Excel skills and analytics (Including but not limited to – VLOOKUP’s, Pivot Tables, If/Then statements, etc.)
•    Intermediate Microsoft Word and PowerPoint skills
•    Experience and knowledge of compensation and/or HR processes
•    Builds collaborative relationships, is adaptable and customer focused
•    Ability to communicate effectively with associates at all levels in a corporate environment
•    Ability to not only find a problem but offer strategic and innovative solutions and recommendations to solve it
•    Strong attention to detail
•    Excellent organizational and follow through skills
•    Ability to take ownership and work independently while managing multiple priorities in a dynamic environment
•    Ability to handle sensitive information in a confidential manner

•    Bachelor’s Degree required
•    3 to 5 years of Compensation experience or a combination of 5+ years of Compensation/HR experience
