Job Summary

We are looking for someone who is excited about the Precision Ag industry and passionate about using technologies to help professional farmers feed the world. This role is part of the smart farming technologies organization for AGCO. Fuse is AGCO’s next-generation approach to precision agriculture that connects the entire crop cycle from enterprise planning to planting, crop care, harvesting, and grain storage – providing mixed-fleet farming operations, improved access to their farm data to make more informed business decisions, resulting in enhanced productivity and profitability. https://www.fusesmartfarming.com/ The Precision Farming Manager is a field position based in remote home office. This team member will contribute to AGCO equipment market share and aftermarket technology revenue growth by providing subject matter expertise related to AGCO integrated Fuse Technologies and third-party Precision Ag solutions. The person should have experience working with Precision Ag technologies from other OEM or technology companies, such as Trimble, AgLeader, Raven, etc. in either a technical support, sales, or marketing capacity.

 

Job Responsibilities

– Increase Fuse technologies adoption within the territory through business planning, support, and training with AGCO field team and dealers – Grow technologies related aftermarket and retrofit business by providing guidance on the best available AGCO and mixed fleet solutions to solve the customers Precision Ag needs – Develop AGCO dealer’s capability in Precision Ag technologies to support equipment market share growth and customer satisfaction – Provide product development ideas and feedback to AGCO engineering and product group based on understanding of customer needs, product knowledge, and Precision Ag landscape – Support AGCO’s telemetry and data analytic initiatives in the field to drive data-enabled services for AGCO and our dealers – Become the Precision Ag subject matter expert for the region to complement equipment sales and aftersales – Support Precision Ag training and equipment demonstration alongside with the regional AGCO field team – Responsible for creating a Precision Ag technology business plan for key dealers by working with the dealers and regional AGCO field team

 

Job Requirements

Technical or Bachelor’s degree in Agriculture or Engineering related degree; without a Bachelor’s degree, 5+ years of experience in related Precision Ag technology industry – A minimum of 3 years of experience supporting and/or selling precision agricultural technology; experience with AGCO Fuse Technologies a plus – Proficient with Microsoft PowerPoint, Excel, and data analysis in order to present complex technologies to dealers and customers – Effective communication skills from senior management to technicians to customers (intermediate English level) – Farming background and experience preferred – Intermediate English (desired reading, writing)
