  • Design the strategy and drive execution of target vertical and industry market programs within the key strategically identified growth industries.   Current focus industries include aggregate, cement, mining, metals mining and water/waste water treatment. 
  •  Drive revenue, gross profit, and operating profit growth in select vertical markets



  • Stay current with market trends, key industry investments and maintain market knowledge of focus industries. 
  • Participate in aligned industry associations with the key industries.
  • Proactivey analyze and review company performance in key vertical markets. Leverage internal and external data analysis in development of actionable plans to achieve the company’s sales, margin and overall profitability goals.
  • Conduct research and analysis on industry trends, future opportunities and gain a detailed understanding of all aspects of targeted industries.
  • Mine data from multiple sources and be able to utilize statistical tools to organize and analyze so data can be easily read and put to work with field sellers to improve sales opportunities.
  • Serve as subject matter expert for the vertical market to include key applications and products, industry trends, and competitive activity
  • Interact with sales leadership and outside sales team, including strategic accounts sales team, to provide expertise and guidance on growth opportunities
  • Engage in direct customer interaction to identify opportunities for increased sales and to support sales team during presentations and proposals
  • Work directly with suppliers in the planning, negotiation and evaluation of new products and services in conjunction with product management team. Assist in the inventory planning for the USSC network.
  • Manage development, production and distribution of promotional & collateral materials to support sales and marketing programs, i.e., sell sheets, trade shows, training materials
  • Provide post event reports, analysis and status reports on industry performance and ROI metrics




  • Bachelor’s degree in business or sales and marketing related focus
  • 5 + years sales or marketing related work experience, specifically within target industries preferred
  • Knowledge and or experience in key industries such as aggregate, cement, mining, metals mining and water/waste water treatment.
  • Proven results in analyzing data and trends to create relevant and actionable business insights
  • Strong Microsoft skills including spreadsheet management, powerpoint, word, etc.
  • Strong presentation and people skills
  • Organized and detail oriented
  • Ability to travel, a minimum of 30%
