Our plant in Tomahawk, WI manufactures, finishes and ships windshields, composite and plastic parts to our final assembly plants. Join us as a Associate Engineer Advanced Manufacturing.


Job Summary

Provide technical support to the development of a variety of paint and related manufacturing processes.  The scope includes design for manufacturability input along with process development for new products and continuous improvement projects.   While delivering new designs and processes, this role will focus on critical metrics that ensure optimized quality, quantity, and cost requirements are met.  This role will interface with Sr. Manufacturing engineers, hourly work groups, quality, and other roles in the plant along with various product development roles at the PDC.


Job Responsibilities:

Participate with product engineering to design parts for manufacturability
Support more Sr. Mfg. and Advanced Mfg. Engineers, nontraditional hourly, supervisors and product engineers in the development of equipment, tooling, materials, and processes for new products.
Track and report on critical QCT leading indicators and metrics that lead to predictable launches.
Provide safe, ergonomically healthy processes that comply with government and company regulations.
Provide capacity while improving agility and predictability in the manufacturing process.
Develop and successfully execute project plans to meet established deadlines.
Provide robust processes, tools and gauges to reduce variation in the manufacturing process.
Support the completion of detailed IPPAP packages.

Education Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing, Industrial, Mechanical, or other Engineering discipline preferred. 

Experience Requirements


Typically requires no previous professional experience.

Co-op or internship in a high-volume manufacturing, cosmetic paint plant beneficial
Familiarity with detailed project and process planning
Familiarity with the importance and techniques to measure then track QCT metrics
Practical knowledge of ergonomics and industrial safety requirements.
Familiarity with lean concepts
Familiarity with importance of standard work, pareto driven problem-solving methods, H-D’s CIS and related are all large plus’s
