Overview

Purpose

  • The core objective of this role is to support the Customer Services Manager to maintain the goals and objectives of the department.

Responsibilities

  • Able to describe/convince in terms the customer can understand, the features, benefits and business value of the product solutions elected.
  • Demonstrates knowledge of current industry trends or information relevant to Boston Scientific business.
  • Understands anatomy and can identify/describe the functions of all structures.
  • Articulates an excellent understanding of clinical applications relevant to Boston Scientific products.
  • Understands resources available for Competitor Product information and industry trends.
  • Conversant with manufacturing processes and quality procedures in order to answer questions from the customer.
  • Takes independent action to develop service improvement programs with the customer (in conjunction with department and divisional needs).
  • Fully knowledgeable in the company�s policies, procedures and practices.
  • Fully knowledgeable in the company�s policies, procedures and practices.
  • Expert level of capability with SAP and other software packages.
  • Effectively identifies additional sales/service opportunities derived from regular contacts with customers.
  • Actively problem solves with customers towards winning solutions.
  • Builds strong customer relationships and encourages open discussions which contribute to continuous improvement opportunities.
  • Develops relationships with internal customers to maintain critical communication processes.
  • Delivers customer and company expectations within agreed time frames.
  • Calls smaller customers and initiates discussions on product offers.
  • Maintains and develops the relationships with established customer accounts towards the achievement of customer service excellence.
  • Fully understands the logistic requirements of the customer in terms of delivery/procurement policy, consignment stock etceteras.
  • Demonstrates strong preparation skills in dealing with customer accounts.
  • Monitors customer satisfaction and reports on issues.
  • As interface to Customers and Sales Representative has direct responsibility to facilitate, share documents and process to identify, notify and ensure any complaint or problem are addressed, thereby demonstrating high commitment to Quality in all interactions and behaviors. Act as needed to support and facilitate any field corrective action related his/her scope.
  • Ensures awareness and compliance with applicable standard operating procedures to meet, comply and champion all quality and regulatory commitments of Boston Scientific.

Job Scope and Leveling Guidelines

  • Knowledge: Solid knowledge of the job. Applies broad knowledge of business concepts, procedures and practices and a general understanding of department fundamentals. Thorough knowledge of company�s core hardware and software applications (i.e. creating charts in Excel, creating presentation in PowerPoint, creating form letters and merging documents in Word, creating database and adding tables in Access).
  • Cognitive Skills: Performs routine and some non-routine assignments using standard methods and sequences. Demonstrates business writing, proofreading and editing skills. Makes decisions within guidelines regarding planning, organizing and scheduling of work.
