The successful candidate will be a self-motivated individual with a fearless can-do attitude and a passion for sales (particularly new business development) who is looking for a challenging and rewarding career.

This position will manage an existing list of accounts, as well as concentrate on the development of new business while perfecting their own existing knowledge and skills with respect to multi-media platform selling. Typical responsibilities will include:

 

Responsibilities

 

  • Contacting decision makers in the retail market and conducting thorough interviews with targeted new accounts.
  • Compiling research, creating promotional ideas, presenting & selling business solutions with a multi-media platform focus to new and existing accounts.
  • “Super Serve” all accounts with the utmost of integrity and professionalism, with the goal to assist them with achieving results and moving their business forward.
  • Achieve and exceed monthly sales targets and co-ordinate internally with our Retail Sales Team.
  • Participate in weekly meetings as required, and provide weekly call planning and reporting as required.
  • Generate and contribute ideas for promotions. Some participation will also be required.
  • Work within the station’s core values of Integrity, Creativity, Respect and Teamwork.
  • Other duties as assigned

 

Qualifications

 

  • Post-secondary education in Sales or Marketing, or a related field is a definite asset.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years’ experience in a sales-related field in a similar size market, with a proven track record of achievement and increasing sales.
  • Demonstrated success in handling and influencing key decision makers with major accounts.
  • Must possess strategic skills for prospecting key accounts and handling a high volume of cold calling.
  • Strong negotiating skills and public speaking skills are a must.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and Power Point.
  • Highly motivated, dependable and energetic

 

Bilingualism is an asset (English and French); adequate knowledge of French is required for positions in Quebec.
